God's Not Dead
We have experienced God is such a BIG way this year and we are so excited to tell others how He is working in our lives. If our story has struck a chord with you, please email us and let us know! It is such an encouragement to us when we hear how God is using this adventure to make Himself known throughout the nations.

Built-In Best Friend
Ten years ago, God knew our family would be moving to a
remote Alaskan village so He gave Klaira and Maddie a built-in best friend--each other.

Maddie's Thoughts
I’m very excited to go to Alaska. I can’t tell you just one thing without
telling you all about Port Graham! God
has been so faithful to us from selling our house and furniture, to providing a
way for mom and dad to go to Alaska to meet the villagers.
We are excited to share with you what’s going
on in our life and how God is working through us in Alaska. They say that the Lord works in mysterious
ways, I say that’s an understatement!
Look at how God is working in mysterious ways in our life—see what I
mean?

Klaira's Thoughts
Many people ask what excites me about moving to
Alaska. It’s really hard to answer that
question because there are so many things to be excited about! One of the pretty exciting things is a new
start. We have been in Sherwood our
whole life! I mean, we’ve been to Mexico,
Virginia, Washington, D.C. and those were very fun, but not quite like moving
to Alaska!
I’m also excited about the
new people and new friends we’re going to meet, new kids, and a new
culture.
I am thoroughly impressed by
God’s grace. He totally has this
adventure planned out for us. That is
another thing I am excited about: to see what miracles God works! Man, He has sure worked a lot in me!

A Child's Perspective
My family and I feel God has called us to move to a remote village in Alaska. Where? A little village called Port Graham. Yep, the village needs a Pastor so we're going to move there. I’ve never been to Alaska before so I’m going to tell you what I imagine it to be like.
I imagine it to have big, snowy mountains on one side and huge rolling hills with thousands of trees on the other side. I think the town will have a 7-11 or convenient store, no Costco!
I think our house will be very small but cozy. I bet it will have four rooms and one bathroom (unfortunately) and a small kitchen to go with it. Outside I think it will have a green door and an orange and purple welcome mat. Our house will probably be on the main road (which I hope is not very big). The main road will probably be gravel with a few pot holes.
And that is what I imagine Port Graham will be like. Hmmmm….I wonder what Port Graham will be like in real life. The End...and the Beginning!
